Hello from the Reel People project! We are excited to have you join us to learn more about the project and your interests.
WHAT WE DO
We capture nonpartisan 30-sec stories on video or audio to message how people are being affected by this administration, from health care costs, to education, to environment, agency deregulation, to the psychological impacts of an authoritarian breakthrough. And even the joy of belonging to a hopeful, moral, and resilient movement!
MEETING AGENDA
Our Reel People casual ZOOM varies – but always we will address your questions and curiosities about working with the project. No experience is needed, nor obligations – just an interest in learning.
1) We’ll discuss the process from gathering, to recording and distributing our stories. We will guide you to the task you will love. Think online research, interview techniques, chit chatting with volunteers and sharing on social media. Yours can be a robust contribution by helping to portray the human side of the current situation, and engender more participation in our peaceful movement – the ultimate goal!
2) We also love to use this time to brainstorm with you, look at cool videos, or take part in a “Social Storm” where you would share links to our stories with your own network.
All activities are optional, but it’s a lot of fun!
