Writing Post Cards to Voter

We will meet to write post cards or letters to voters, a proven way to increase turnout and engagement. Limited supplies will be available. We encourage you to bring postcards, envelopes, colorful pens/markers, and stamps.

There are multiple organizations that send letters and postcards to voters. These include Vote Forward (https://votefwd.org/), Postcards to Voters (https://postcardstovoters.org/), and Progressive Turnout Project (https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/). It’s good to sign up with these outfits to see how they are organized and be informed of new campaigns.

We are currently in a lull in the election season, but there is always a special election coming up. For example, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s former seat in GA 14 has a special coming up on March 10th, and Postcards to Voters is based in Georgia. I think we will have something to do.

Other Indivisible chapters have ongoing postcard programs. Indivisible Eastside in Bellvue WA was involved in 2025 campaigns and compiled an extensive list of postcarding resources, here:

Our gathering is modeled on an extremely popular recurrent event sponsored by Indivisible Baltimore City. People get together regularly at a craft brewery to make signs for demonstrations and sign waves, and have a happy hour too. Now that election season is here, they will also be writing postcards and letters to voters. People from the Baltimore chapter are regulars, but new people come as well.

We are meeting in a restaurant because we haven’t settled on a tavern or craft brewery. We’re looking for a place in the central county so people from Pasadena, Severna Park and Odenton can come without a long drive. Your suggestions welcome!
