Friday, January 23 is a National Day of Solidarity and push for corporate accountability led by Minnesota organizers and national allies.
Join our Westside Indivisible NEO pod formed out of 1 Million Rising to canvas Cleveland area businesses. We’ll be asking them to show solidarity with their immigrant employees and community members as part of the nationwide “Signs of Solidarity” campaign. This has turned into a really positive way to have meaningful conversations with our business community – not just to advise them of their rights but to show support and build connections.
What:
We’ll go to various local businesses and ask them to place signs of solidarity in their windows and designate a private area for employees that ICE cannot legally enter without a signed judicial warrant. You’ll be in a group with more experienced canvassers and will have the opportunity to observe until you feel comfortable enough to take the lead.
