Do Your Job Jamie! –ICE Out for Good!/ Healthcare In!–Paducah, Four Rivers Indivisible

The budget is due and ICE has been being funded in the temporary resolution at a level higher than the US Marine Corps. Meanwhile, lack of oversight and accountability leaves many American cities under stress, less safe, and in chaos. Healthcare costs soar as Congress defunds healthcare subsidies and Medicaid, while giving ICE a gravy train of unaccountable money being spent mostly to put on a reality show of what unaccountable power looks like. And a secret police force of masked men roams the streets of many cities kidnapping American citizens along with the undocumented with little to no due process and often in violation of the law without a judicial warrant in private spaces in homes or institutions.

And on top of that, military adventures seek to take over sovereign countries including allies like Greenland that we already have forces in for protecting them as a NATO ally under Denmark.

¡Únase a nosotros! Come and join us as we ask Rep. Comer–whose role in congress is on the important Oversight Committee as well as being involved in the budget– once again (!) to hold a town hall and answer questions about these critical Constitutional topics, ask that he vote for the ICE budget to be reduced to $0 in view of the out-of-control lawlessness, unprofessionalism, and disregard for the dignity and sanctity of human life being shown on American streets against our people., restore healthcare cuts in the budget, and assert Article One powers over declaring war to stop the lawless military interventions by the Administration.

UPDATE: We will also honor the memory of those who died in detention in 2026 at each event this year, as we learn of them. Four migrants lacking legal status died in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) within the first 10 days of the year.

Parady La, Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz, Luis Gustavo Nunez Caceres and Geraldo Lunas Campos were pronounced dead after being detained by federal immigration authorities. While medical conditions and medical neglect have been common in other deaths, there is already one death being investigated as a homicide.
Geraldo Lunas Campos, a 55-year-old Cuban migrant who was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in July last year, was pronounced dead on 3 January. He had been in ICE custody at Camp East Montana, a sprawling tent camp at the Fort Bliss military base in El Paso.

from The Hill Jan 13, 2026 ““ICE kills — full stop. Whether ICE is targeting people in the streets, where they work or live or behind closed doors in one of its nearly 200 abuse-ridden detention centers across the country – ICE is an inherently violent agency jeopardizing families and community safety,” Setareh Ghandehari, advocacy director at Detention Watch Network, said in a statement shared with The Hill.

“Decades of evidence illustrate that no one is safe in ICE custody. ICE’s immigration detention system deprives people of freedom, isolates people away from loved ones, and subjects people to abysmal conditions, including inadequate medical care and mental health services, inedible food, and racist abuse,” Ghandehari said in the statement.”
Signs: We will have a # of signs available but as always we appreciate homemade grassroots signs. No violent imagery or language suggestive of violence.

A core principle behind all Four Rivers Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation (verbal as well as physical) with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. This event will be on public sidewalks and in public spaces.
