Join the Campaign for Clean Energy in Colorado!

Join us for a presentation by Jessica Larrinaga with the Colorado Sierra Club on bringing cleaner energy to Colorado.

Colorado’s energy system is being shaped by investor-owned utilities—especially Xcel Energy—in ways that increase costs, slow climate progress, and place corporate profits ahead of public interest.

The bottom line is this: Utilities are required by law to serve the public interest—but today, they are serving shareholders. Without stronger rules, oversight and ratepayer protections, utilities will continue to expand fossil gas, backslide on their commitments to transition off of coal, subsidize corporate energy users and shift financial risk onto Coloradans.

But we can fix this! Colorado can realign the energy system so our state is powered by more clean energy and utilities act in service of people—not shareholders—by establishing clear clean energy requirements, reforming utility incentives, and empowering communities and regulators.

This year, the Sierra Club is launching an exciting grassroots movement in Aurora called Days of Action. They will be organizing media events, building a local coalition, hosting lobby days, gathering petitions and more to drive Colorado’s transition to clean energy.

This a local Indivisible event!

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
