WofA Tuesday N Potomac Bridge Brigade

We will display a timely messages on a bridge, visible to drivers below or on the bridge thoroughfare. Your presence on the bridge shows support for the message and is encouraging to those in cars, trucks, metro trains and more. Come for the honks, the joy and the community.

We will be at the pedestrian/bike trail bridge close to N Potomac. You can use 1500 N Potomac in your GPS. The bridge and street parking are nearby.

Let’s be prepared if someone with opposing views approaches. Often they hope to make us react and be angry. Let’s not allow that. Ideally, if the situation arises, don’t engage and alert the bridge captain. Please teview the following, understanding not all applies to bridge protests.

Bridge Rules and Tips:
– We supply the messages, you supply the energy. You are welcome to also display your own poster boards. Please ensure your posters are relevant to the theme and G or PG-13 rated (no swear words, please).
– Let’s stay safe and healthy – Bring water, hat, and sunscreen as appropriate
– We must not block pedestrians, so please keep the sidewalk clear.
– Please bring American flags, displayed right-side up. We want to take our flag back!
– We don’t litter. If we find litter, we pick it up and throw it away. Let’s leave the area the same or better than we found it.
– We don’t use stickers or anything that leaves a permanent mark on the overpass.
– Stand back when bungee cords are being stretched!
– We take lots of pictures and videos during our action for circulation on social media. If you prefer not to be included, please let us know.
– We encourage you to read the Visibility Toolkit in order to get an even better understanding of what we do and why. It is located at the website below.
– If you wish to bring friends or family members with you, they are welcome. Please familiarize them with our rules and safety tips.
– Please check your email in case there is a change. The event may be cancelled due to rain or extreme temperatures.

HAVE FUN and THANK YOU for doing your part in saving our country!
