ICE OUT FOR GOOD ALDERWOOD — MN Solidarity Day of Action

Friday, January 23 is an ICE Out For Good National Day of Solidarity led by Minnesota organizers and national allies from labor, grassroots organizing, mobilization campaigns, advocacy movements, and everyday Americans. In Minnesota, activists are coming together for a statewide economic pause and day of collective action- not going into work or school (except
for emergency services), not shopping or engaging in consumer spending. This is the way they are flexing Minnesota’s unified opposition to ICE and their economic power.
We will be joining in solidarity with Minnesota and all communities being terrorized by ICE by gathering at the Target Store by Alderwood Mall at Noon on Friday, January 23.
Target is one of the corporate focuses of the Minnesota action because it is Minnesota’s leading corporation, with its headquarters in Minneapolis. Target should be standing up for the people of Minnesota and standing up to ICE. Another corporate target is Home Depot. They should take
action to prevent ICE from conducting unlawful violent raids in their stores and parking lots.
We will rally at Target for sign waving and chants, and will march to Home Depot and back to Target. Bring your signs of solidarity with Minnesota demanding:
ICE must leave Minnesota;
Justice for Renee Good’s killer;
Congress must cut funding for ICE,
and companies must refuse
ICE entry.
Wear black in solidarity with teachers in Minnesota mourning one of their substitute teachers, Renee Good. Together we can make our demands heard with the power of our wallets and collective voice.

As with other Indivisible actions, this is a non-violent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
