# High Visibility demonstration on Hwy 101 overpass
Bannering 101 is a group of concerned citizens who display banners on the pedestrian overpass in protest of Trump’s authoritarian takeover of our country. Join us on the pedestrian overpass near Broadway to stand up for democracy freedom and humanity. We currently gather Tuesdays and Thursdays at rush hour and two weekends per month. Check mobilize.us for times and dates.
### Location:
Bayside Crossing Hwy 101 pedestrian overpass at Broadway
### Parking:
Easiest parking is on the east side near the baseball field at Bayside Park on Airport Blvd. Walk through the lot towards the hotel. There is a gate in the fence. Walk through the gate and turn right. The overpass will be on your left, just before you reach the Broadway intersection.

You can access the overpass on Rollins Rd. on the West side of Hwy101. However, parking is usually very limited.
We create and display large banners on highway overpasses in the Bay Area. In Burlingame, we use the Bayside pedestrian overpass near Broadway. Associated groups use overpasses on Hwys 1, 17, 80 and 85. In the last year, together we have reached an estimated seven million drivers .
### Our banners
We string fabric letters together to create our messages. We also make large painted fabric banners. Some of our recent messages include:
-END ICE TERROR
-TELL SENATE NO $ 4 ICE
-JUSTICE 4 ICE VICTIMS
– FUND HEALTHCARE NOT WARFARE
Join us, and help fight back in solidarity, as if democracy depends upon it. IT DOES!!
We have the banners…we need YOU! Bring friends, music, noisemaker, signs etc… Small signs can not be read from the freeway but will be seen by anyone passing by on the overpass.
