Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
Our hearts are broken by the events in Minneapolis. We are upset with the unlawful actions of federal agents there. We will not sit idly by and wait for that chaos to be visited on the Denver area.
Join us to be trained to canvass local businesses and to share with them Know Your Rights information to help them protect themselves and their employees in case of a raid by ICE. We share with them the importance of making a plan, training employees and creating safe spaces, and we suggest what employees should or should not do. We tell them how to report wrong doing by ICE and CBP. At the end attendees will have the opportunity to canvass local businesses.
Canvassing is a demonstration of our solidarity with all of our Denver community and has been received warmly by the businesses visited. Since our founding in 2016, Indivisible has been rooted in the belief that organized people can beat organized hate—and that our power comes not just from our numbers, but from how we show up. We reject all forms of political violence and intimidation, no matter the source or the target.
