**Candidate Peter Chatzky will join us on Tuesday March 3rd, at 11:00am ET.** Peter Chatzky is running for Congress in NY-17, where he is the only candidate who is a life-long Westchester Democrat. Peter has been elected to public office five times, serving as both Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Village of Briarcliff Manor, while running a small tech company providing software to the world’s largest banks. Peter’s first involvement with local politics came as he battled Donald Trump’s original plans for the Trump National golf course that would have destroyed Briarcliff Manor as he knew it. Despite Trump’s claim that his layout was “the best, most beautiful, most perfect use of the space,” Peter organized his neighbors and stopped Trump and his army of lawyers from steamrolling the village. As an elected official, Peter has drafted and enacted over 70 local laws — ranging from tax relief for veterans, firefighters, and low-income homeowners, to incentives for clean energy, environmental protection, improved quality of life, and expanded housing. Peter has deep roots in civic life, from coaching youth soccer and fostering shelter animals to supporting local education, libraries, historic preservation, and inclusivity.
