Leprechauns Alert! Lean LOCAL, & Boycott BIG BOX

Legend has it that St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland. For us, it’s time that we drive corporate snakes like Amazon out of Eugene– for starters. We want NO Amazon warehouse in town, knowing that its job promises are hollow. And giving Amazon our shopping dollars comes at a terrible price for our privacy, our safety and our democracy.

So we’re back to boycott Whole Foods, connected through Amazon to ICE, the Trump authoritarian regime, tax evasion, climate destruction and much more. We’ll gather to send a message to Amazon outside their Whole Foods store, asking our friends and neighbors to support locally owned/managed small businesses, not big box stores and mega corporations funding the constitutional crisis we’re in.

This is the second and not last in a series of boycott pocket protests to help us educate and prepare for the coming general strikes. Let’s point to the corruption at the top. Let’s break this regime.

As it is St Paddy’s day, please wear some green and bring one or two mates to this non violent/non destructive event. No time to make signs? We’ve got a selection of ‘em, plus banners to hold and–important– flyers to hand out to help shoppers get up to speed on cutting ties to Amazon.
