Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
Our canvass will reach out to businesses in Glen Burnie with information about individuals and employers rights when dealing with ICE. The agency is getting more active in Anne Arundel County, with more arrests happening in Brooklyn Park and Glen Burnie. It’s vital that people know their rights and how to prepare for interactions with ICE and other immigration agencies.
If you haven’t done a KYR canvass before, no worries! We’ll have a brief training before going out, and we will work in teams. These canvasses get very positive responses from the community overall. In the few cases where people are not open to our message, we simply move on!
Fluency in languages other than English is helpful, but not essential for these canvasses.
