Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Charles Booker

State: Kentucky

Elected Office: U.S. Senator

Reason for Endorsement:

Indivisible is thrilled to endorse Charles Booker in the race to be the next Senator from Kentucky. Charles is a historic candidate and the fights he's ready to take on are personal. Born and raised in Louisville in one of the poorest zip codes in the commonwealth, Charles learned early about the inequality that still plagues Kentucky. Growing up, Charles’s family relied on food stamps and free lunch – and still sometimes went hungry. Like far too many kids, Charles grew up knowing health care was never a guarantee: after being diagnosed with diabetes, there were times his family had to ration his insulin just to survive.

Charles Booker is the right candidate for this moment, and the right candidate to take on Mitch McConnell in November. As the youngest Black legislator in the Kentucky House of Representatives in 90 years, Charles has championed progressive legislation on voting rights, labor laws, and racial justice. During his time in office, Charles has built bridges across lines of difference, working in coalition with youth leaders, immigrants, labor, and grassroots activists. We know this coalition is ready to do the work to elect Charles Booker and defeat Mitch McConnell in November.

Indivisible Danville nominated Charles Booker for a national endorsement. If you would like to join the group or get involved, you can find them on Facebook here.
