Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

ENDORSED CANDIDATE

Julie Oliver

State: Texas

Elected Office: U.S. Representative

Candidate District: TX-25

Reason for Endorsement:

Indivisible first endorsed Julie Oliver in 2018, and we’re proud to get behind her again. With a burning planet, more and more of us unable to get by, and millions of us unable to see a doctor or afford prescriptions, the challenges we face are significant. Julie knows the best way she can serve is by fixing the inequities, injustice and waste in American healthcare. Her son has pre-existing conditions, so in 2017, when the GOP came after healthcare for the sick, the elderly, and people with disabilities, Julie knew she had to run.

Julie’s mom was a public school teacher and cleaned houses to make extra money. She was born poor, grew up working class, was pregnant at 17, briefly homeless, and relied on Medicaid for prenatal care before putting herself through college and law school. Julie knows the struggles that Texas families face to maintain decent housing, health care, and steady work. The 25th district deserves a representative who has lived that experience, and that’s why we’re endorsing Julie Oliver for Congress.

Indivisible TX 25 East and Wimberly Indivisible nominated Julie Oliver for a national endorsement. If you would like to join their groups or get involved, you can find them on their Facebook pages: Wimberly Indivisible and Indivisible TX25 East Austin.
