Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Mike Siegel

State: Texas

Elected Office: U.S. Representative

Candidate District: TX-10

Reason for Endorsement:

Mike has spent his entire professional life standing up for and representing the interests of under-served and under-represented people. He began his career as a public school teacher, working to make sure that everyone, no matter their background, had the opportunity to live a safe, prosperous and fulfilling life. And as a civil rights attorney, he’s been an advocate for those without a voice, fighting against unjust laws and holding employers accountable when they mistreat their workers. Most recently, he’s worked as an assistant city attorney for the city of Austin, suing the governor over the hateful anti-immigrant bill SB4 in 2017. He’s fought for voting rights for students at Prairie View A&M and for clean air and water for Fayette County residents, helping close a coal plant harming their health.

Mike has shown that he will bring the same commitment he has dedicated to his past work to Congress. We are proud to endorse Mike because we know that he has a bold vision and he is willing to fight for the values that he holds. He supports universal healthcare, a Green New Deal, housing for all and a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. His platform centers what matters: people. That is why he has the support of the grassroots and why we know he will be their champion when elected to Congress.

Indivisible Rosedale Huddle was one of the groups that nominated Mike Siegel for a national endorsement. If you would like to join the group or get involved, you can find them on their website.
