Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Ray Lenzi

State: Illinois

Elected Office: U.S. Representative

Candidate District: IL-12

Reason for Endorsement:

Ray Lenzi got started with political organizing when he became an ardent critic of the Vietnam war while attending Southern Illinois University. He has spent much of his life working on community and economic development throughout the Midwest. When he went back to Southern Illinois, that did not stop. He has helped develop the community to attract job opportunities, provide community services and even build the first two licensed preschool and daycare centers in Union County.

Ray’s campaign is now building on the work he has already done in the district. He will bring progressive change to Southern Illinois and show the country what it means to put people first. He will work hard for a just transition and rapid adoption of renewable energy and stand for affordable healthcare for all as a human right. He supports an increase in the minimum wage to $15/hour and an overall commitment to social, economic, racial, and environmental justice.

Indivisible Shawnee and Indivisible Metro East nominated Ray Lenzi for a national endorsement. If you would like to join Indivisible Shawnee or get involved, you can find them on Facebook.
