Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Renee Hoyos

State: Tennessee

Elected Office: U.S. Representative

Candidate District: TN-02

Reason for Endorsement:

We’re proud to endorse Renee because she will stand up to powerful special interests and wealthy insiders to fight for working families and deliver real results for East Tennessee.

As the director of Tennessee Clean Water Network, Renee fought special interests to clean up our rivers and streams. Tennessee has more minimum wage workers per capita than almost any other state. Ten rural hospitals have already closed, and fifteen more are in danger, including two in the second district. In the district, over 60,000 people still don’t have healthcare.

In Congress, she will fight to increase the minimum wage so no family has to pick between paying for food and paying their bills. She’ll fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs and protect people with pre-existing conditions. She’ll fight to protect America’s streams, rivers, and natural resources & reinvest in our infrastructure. And she’ll fight to invest in America’s children and improve public education for all, regardless of their zip code.

Indivisible East Tennessee nominated Renee Hoyos for a national endorsement. If you would like to join the group or get involved, find them here on Facebook or Twitter.
