Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Sri Kulkarni

State: Texas

Elected Office: U.S. Representative

Candidate District: TX-22

Reason for Endorsement:

Indivisible is once again endorsing Sri Kulkarni because he knows that flipping TX-22 blue means listening to all communities in this diverse district and talking about issues that matter to them. More than just a campaign, Sri’s team is creating an inclusive community organizing effort to activate grassroots power.

Sri almost took this seat in 2018, coming within 5 points of victory. We endorsed his groundbreaking campaign, which truly engaged voters of color -- especially AAPI voters -- by communicating in 16 languages. Sri knows that Democrats win when we engage new voters and bring them into the political process, because the only way we earn their votes is by talking directly to them.

Sri is again running a grassroots, people-powered campaign and refusing corporate PAC donations. He understands that Congress will never work for working families if our representatives are beholden to corporate interests. Sri’s father was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 18, and his family nearly went bankrupt from medical bills. The 22nd district is home to tens of thousands of uninsured Texans, and we know Sri will bring this experience with him as he fights for affordable health care to ensure no family faces financial ruin.

Local Indivisible groups were among the first to endorse Sri’s 2018 bid, and we’re excited to follow their lead again this cycle and do everything we can to make sure he wins in November.

Indivisible Katy Huddle nominated Sri Kulkarni for a national endorsement. If you would like to join the group or get involved, you can find them here on Facebook or email them at
