Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Wendy Davis

State: Texas

Elected Office: U.S. Representative

Candidate District: TX-21

Reason for Endorsement:

Wendy Davis has earned Indivisible’s endorsement by running on a policy platform that addresses the many issues facing ordinary Texans. Like many, Wendy grew up knowing what it means to struggle. As a teenage mother, she got to know the feeling of standing at the grocery counter, deciding which items to leave out because she didn’t have enough money in my account.

Wendy made it through her tough times but she knows that too many families are struggling and that things have only gotten worse. She knows that too many Texans are working two jobs and still can't make ends meet. She has heard the stories from families who worry not only about their children getting a quality education, but also whether they'll be safe in school.

That's why Wendy became a public servant and why she is running to represent the 21st district. As a state senator, she once stood for 13 hours on the Texas Senate floor to fight for access to reproductive healthcare. She then founded a non-profit that empowers young women to advocate for themselves and their communities. Now she is working to flip the 21st district and to finally give it a representative that will fight for healthcare for all, that will fight for a solution to our climate crisis and won't cower to Big Oil. Wendy is a tireless and tenacious advocate. Whether fighting for access to healthcare, fair lending practices, wage increases, clean air standards, voting rights, fair redistricting, or economic equality - and we know she’ll bring that fight to Congress. We are proud to back her and look forward to continuing to fight alongside her.
