*Ofrenda, meaning “offering” in Spanish, is a traditional altar built to welcome the spirits of family members and friends during their annual visit on DÃa de los Muertos. However, honoring ancestors or deceased loved ones is a personal expression of love, not strictly limited by the calendar.
