*On Wednesday, January 7th, Renee Good, an American citizen, was shot and killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse we’re seeing in our own communities, carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against neighbors, co-workers, and friends.*

Congress MUST demand an **end to these reckless immigration raids, and oppose any appropriations bill that includes increased funding for ICE or Border Patrol, and refuse to vote for any funding bill for DHS**
### Congress must:
– Strengthen restrictions on ICE and Border Patrol’s ability to conduct dragnet arrest operations and target people based on their race, language or accent, place of employment, or location at the time of the apprehension;
– End Border Patrol deployment to our cities and reject its ever-expanding mandate in immigration enforcement; and
– Limit DHS’s reprogramming and transfer authority, including specifically preventing reprogramming and transferring funds for detention.
