Friday, January 23 is a National Day of Solidarity and push for corporate accountability led by Minnesota organizers and national allies.
Citizens Bank has chosen to profit from cruelty by continuing its business with GEO Group, one of the largest private for-profit detention center operators in the country. GEO Group operates the Moshannon Detention Center in Pennsylvania, a facility known for civil rights abuses, the use of solitary confinement, lack of food and water, lack of basic hygiene supplies, sleep deprivation, and inadequate medical care. Virginians know all about GEO Group, which is why we ended their contract to operate Lawrenceville prison after reports of gross mismanagement and 12 deaths in 2022. We didn’t beat GEO Group once just to have Citizens Bank support them with our money!
