Collier Know Your Rights & Neighborhood Safety

This is a **Indivisible Gambit SWFL** event!
Indivisible Gambit SWFL, in collaboration with the **ACLU of Florida, Florida Immigration Coalition, Unidos Immokalee, and Voices of Bonita**, is taking action — and we invite you to join us.

Across our communities, many people are *feeling anxious, uncertain, and afraid.* That reaction **is normal.** Fear is often the goal of authoritarian systems: to isolate us, silence us, and make us feel powerless. But **courage is a choice** and choosing courage together is how we protect one another and how we win.

We invite you to join us

**Saturday, February 21, 2026, 12:00–2:00 PM** for a Community Education and Organizing event at:

**Cornerstone United Methodist Church**
8200 Immokalee Road
Naples, FL 34119-9718

This gathering is designed to expand our outreach and strengthen local support networks by sharing practical, life-saving information and building community capacity.

At this event, participants will:

* Learn practical ways to stay safe and understand their rights
* Recognize and respond to concerning ICE activity
* Learn how volunteer legal observers educate community members and document encounters
* Get involved in rapid response, neighborhood watch efforts, and mutual aid
* Discover ways to support at-risk migrant families with basic needs

We are also actively recruiting and training:

* Volunteer legal observers
* Rapid responders
* Neighborhood watch volunteers
* Community members willing to assist with mutual aid

No one should face these moments alone. When we show up for each other informed, organized, and courageous we build real safety and real power.

We hope you’ll join us, bring a friend, and be part of this growing network of care, courage, and community defense.

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
