    This event is hosted by an individual group or partner org and not vetted by Indivisible National.

    Our March meeting offers another very informative and powerful program. It features a panel discussion. Information Room opens at 5:30.

    Panelists:

    Kelly Kirschner, Chair and co-founder of UnidosNow and past Mayor of Sarasota;

    John Dubrule, attorney and co-founder of Dubrule and Lowel, PLLC and founder of Gulf Coast Legal Services’ Immigration Unit

    C. J. Czaia, attorney and co-founder of Czaia Law practicing in personal injury and criminal defense, community activist, and co-founder of UnidosNow

    Henry Raines, Administrator of Onward and Empowered of FL. Inc. will serve as moderator.

    The panel will speak on economic contributions and the human capital of immigrants in our community and legal challenges confronting the immigrant population. Our goal is to help ensure that Manatee County residents have accurate and current information about our immigrant neighbors and will learn about strategic ways to be pro-active in providing support and seeking justice.

    Our informational room will open at 5:30 PM.

    We are coordinating with the Immigration Justice Coalition of Southwest Florida (ICJSWF)’s Food 4 Neighbors program. You are invited to bring food or supplies for immigrants who are too fearful to shop and/or are financially challenged with the loss of a detained or deported breadwinner. Look for the listing of acceptable and needed items that you will receive after you sign up.
