Meet us at the ALPR camera near the base of the Dorset Avenue Bridge on the Ventnor Avenue side for a DeFlock South Jersey visibility action.
Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) are operating throughout Absecon Island, but how many of us actually notice them—or know what happens to the information they collect?
We’ll be talking with our friends and neighbors about what ALPRs are, where they’re located, how vehicle data can be collected and stored, and the privacy questions surrounding this growing surveillance network.
Our community deserves to know when surveillance technology is being used around us.
