The No Kings Map is Live!
Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
Across the country, immigrant communities are under attack — targeted by raids, detention, and dehumanizing policies that tear families apart. These tactics are being weaponized as part of a broader authoritarian crackdown that threatens the rights and freedoms of everyone.
Now is the time to come together, to stand shoulder to shoulder, and to say clearly:
We will not stand by as families are disappeared, rights are dismantled, and democracy itself is eroded.
Inspired by the weekly Sunday vigils outside of the cruelly-named “Alligator Alcatraz” and the Disappeared in America Weekend of Action, Joyful Resistance will hold regular vigils outside of the Broward Transitional Center (“BTC”) to defend our shared values of dignity, freedom, and justice for all. Together, we’ll shine a light on the human toll of detention and demand an end to corporate and government complicity in this cruelty. These vigils will be held in conjunction with the Everglades vigil to create solidarity of faith, resolve, and participation.
Feel free to bring a sign about immigration or ICE.
Vigils will take place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
***Our vigils take place on public property. ***
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
