Film showing: “Democracy Noir”

This a local Indivisible event!

Indivisible Randolph Vermont will be sponsoring the documentary, “Democracy Noir” at the Playhouse Movie Theater on Sunday, January 25th at 6:30 pm.

Amidst the brazen rise of 21st century authoritarianism, few politicians have proven as corrupt and adept at undermining democracy as Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. As Orbán dismantles Hungary’s democratic institutions, three courageous women—a journalist, a politician, and a nurse—fight relentlessly to expose the lies and corruption embedded in Orbán’s government. Democracy Noir is a chilling exposé of far-right nationalism and an inspirational beacon of resistance.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome to help Indivisible Randolph cover the showing fee. Nonperishable food donations will also be accepted for the Randolph Area Food Shelf.

If the weather is bad for travel, we will change the movie date to January 26th and let you know.

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
