The No Kings Map is Live!
Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
“Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.” – John Lewis
During Friday Function in the Junction, bring American flags, if you have them. Wear bright colored clothing, bring your choice of resistance posters.
Park in the vacant parking lot at Oliver and Skyway, or at Terry Ashe Park. (Not Grocery Outlet)
We will push the crosswalk button. After the first row of cars come to a complete stop, we will cross Skyway together inside the crosswalk. Then let cars go by, as we wait for our turn to again cross Skyway.
If you don’t feel comfortable walking, or just want to come out for support, feel free to bring a chair and enjoy the protest music.
To make car honking be your friend, bring a sign to encourage honking, such as:
“Honk for Peace”
“Honk to stop ICE”
Etc.
MAGA or not, these are our neighbors in a small community, so be kind. If drivers wish to argue, wish them a good day.
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
