Immigrants Rights Presentation

This a local Indivisible event!

Please join us on January 24 @ 12noon at the Hastings Library, where we will learn more about the Rights of the Undocumented. Dan Oropeza, from the United Farm Workers Foundation will be our guest. Mr. Oropeza is a former farm worker who worked from Texas to Florida and settled in Michigan in the early 80’s. He will share more about the rights of the immigrant and how we can help assure that everyone in our community deserves safety, fairness, and a chance to contribute. Our economy is dependent on an immigrant work force. Come, familiarize yourself about the law. Help determine what kind of country the United States chooses to be.

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
