Chapter meetings are a great opportunity for our members to spend time with other pro-democracy supporters, celebrate our impact, review all that is in the works for the month ahead, and find out all the ways to get involved! .
Join us on Sunday, January 25th, from 2PM – 4PM **(music begins at 1:30PM for those attending in person)**, at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. This HYBRID meeting can also be attended via Zoom (Zoom registration link will follow in your confirmation email after registering here). Zoom meeting will open at 2PM.
As we kick off into a new year, **this month’s chapter meeting will feature a focus on NY Climate Action in 2026**, presented by the IAS Climate Team and a very special speaker!
**Michael Richardson of Third Act**, will address the current state of renewable energy and grid capacity upstate, as well as 2026 NYS climate bills and an announcement about the important climate rally in April to demand action from the Governor. He will discuss why climate action parallels the fight to preserve democracy. Q and A will be welcomed.
*Michael Richardson, organic farmer, solar heating contractor, labor economist, county legislator, and municipal consultant is Campaigns Director at Third Act, a national organization of elders using their life experiences, skills, and resources to safeguard the climate and uplift democracy. Michael previously served on the steering committee of NY Renews and is co-chair of Public Power NY, the coalition responsible for the Build Public Renewables Act to mandate the buildout of publicly-owned renewable energy.*
