    **Background:**

    The US has been escalating tensions with Iran over the last several weeks. Saturday, 2.28.26, the U.S. and Israel launched the first of multiple major attacks on Iran. The reason for this conflict has lacked cohesion. Early in the conflict Trump and Hegseth claimed this was to “eliminate imminent threats from the Iranian regime” with calls for the Iranian people to “take over their government” when the U.S. is done. That message has since changed with Trump having demanded total surrender by Iran and that he alone can choose their next president. Additionally, others are naming this conflict as a biblical prophecy to bring about Armageddon, while Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has boasted about his role in getting Trump into the conflict and has taken several trips to Israel to meet with their intelligence agencies.

    Americans want health care, reasonably priced groceries and gas, and peace. We don’t want Republicans contracting our soldiers out into another endless war in the Middle East.
