Join Lexington Indivisible Group Progress Kentucky as we host a Know Your Rights & Civic Activation training at the Mirror Twin Annex. Led by Louisville Representative Nima Kulkarni, Executive Director of New Americans Initiative, a Common Ground partner, we will learn how to safely support our immigrant/refugee and directly impacted neighbors, to understand our rights as bystanders, and to take meaningful civic action.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action that is community-led and grounded in moral witness, public accountability, and collective care. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
