The No Kings Map is Live!
Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
We are heading to Transitions, Women’s Hearth to show them some love, support and gratitude. They are WONDERFUL!
Transitions works to end homelessness for women and children in Spokane.
The Women’s Hearth is a safe, welcoming community that promotes growth and well being for women, trans women, and non-binary individuals, all with diverse backgrounds.
The Hearth fosters nurturing relationships, encourages self-determination, encourages self-determination, and advocates for change in systems which oppress women, trans women, and non-binary adults.
They believe in the power of community and relationships.
2:30 – 3:30 we will meet at the Hearth for a tour and information about their programs. We will also bring them thank you cards, treats and snacks. If you’d like to bring some (non-homemade) snacks that would be great!
3:30 – 4:30 we will rally in support of Transitions, Women’s Hearth with a “Love Your Neighbors” theme.
S Monroe St & W Second Ave Spokane, WA
Hang out afterwards also TBD.
Transitions said they could really use some UNDIES for the women they are helping, so we’re doing a PANTRY DRIVE. New, larger sizes please (XL)
As always we follow the PJALS principles of nonviolence https://pjals.org/action/#nonviolence
A core principle behind all events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
