  • Make Vote Power Signs for No Kings

This is a local sign-making event in Mountain View, CA, to prepare for **No Kings 4 events across the Bay Area on Oct. 17**.

This No Kings is going to look a little different! **No Kings 4 is focused on the power and importance of voting: getting people to vote, encouraging people to vote early, and reminding people that protecting democracy requires all of us to participate.** Some events will be marches and rallies, others will be neighborhood gatherings and celebrations, but voting will be at the center of all of them.

That means your old protest signs may not be quite what’s needed this time. 🙂 These are **nonpartisan voter-mobilization events**, so leave the anti-Trump, anti-Republican, and candidate-specific signs at home and come make something new!

We’ll be making **Vote Power signs**: signs that celebrate voting, remind people that their vote matters, encourage people to vote early, and speak to the importance of showing up to defend our democracy. They can be joyful, serious, urgent, funny, patriotic — whatever message about voting you want to bring to Oct. 17.

We’ll use paint, markers, color tape, construction paper, whatever works best. There will be different poster sizes available. Let your creativity fly! And if your creativity is tapped out, that’s fine too: we’ll have plenty of easy-to-make sign ideas and inspiration.

**Blank posters and art supplies will be provided**, but if you can bring your own supplies (especially jumbo markers!), that would be appreciated. We will be mostly indoors, and outside if possible. Snacks will be served, and food brought to share is always welcome.

Come help us make the power of voting impossible to miss on Oct. 17!

P.S. There are many No Kings events happening around the Bay Area. Our event, [Vote Early Neighborhood Celebration](https://www.mobilize.us/itsblueturn/event/1046430/), is in Mountain View from 2–4 pm. We’re bringing neighbors together for an afternoon of music, treats, activities for kids, voting information, community organizations, and a little bit of joyful civic silliness. See you there!
