Saturday is No Kings Day
The wannabe-king is intent on sabotaging our midterms. This weekend, we turn out by the millions to nonviolently defend our elections, our democracy, and our rights. First in the streets, and then at the polls. Join us.
Join us in a march to the Knox County Board of Elections to vote early. Meet at the Public Square in Mount Vernon (Ohio) and walk the short distance to 104 E Sugar Street to vote early.
Be sure to bring your unexpired Photo ID (such as your Ohio Driver’s License, U.S. passport, or military ID. You can join us for the march even if you have already voted. The goal is to create visibility around early voting by making a nice long line.
Remember if you are voting you must wear clothing with no political messages or images. We are going to bring signs promoting voting, but any signs brought must be left at least 100 feet from the polls. We would leave them outside the parking lot. Someone will attend them while we are voting.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
