The No Kings Map is Live!
Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
This is a weekly event. PLEASE NOTE THIS WEEK WE ARE PROTESTING ON FRIDAY NOT SATURDAY!!!
PRO Democracy and Freedom. NO KINGS No ICE protest. Local indivisible group: Rise ‘N Shine: Basset, Baldwin Park, West Covina, La Puente, CA. THIS IS A PROTEST, NOT A MARCH. Bring your sunscreen, your water, your sign, your friends and family, your enthusiasm!! Feel free to bring a chair. Flags are welcome!! So are bubbles and bullhorns, whistles and noisemakers! Don’t have a sign? Use one of ours!!!
While we are focused on NO Kings/ No ICE, you may focus on any of the horrible policies or events that you feel strongly about. With the ICE and military deployments nationwide and the recent assassinations CAUGHT ON CAMERA and denied by the STATE, our protests are more important than ever!!!! WE STAND WITH MINNEAPOLIS!! WE STAND WITH MINNESOTA! Come for the whole time or come for a while. Just come!!!! If you can’t come, send someone else. If you can’t do that, drive by and HONK!! Together we are unstoppable!!. Meet in front of Walgreens at 934 N Hacienda Blvd, LA Puente : Corner of Hacienda and Amar. There is plenty of parking.
This a local Indivisible event! We will be on the sidewalk (where we can legally protest without a permit) and hopefully have enough people to occupy all 4 corners. If you arrive early, you can start or wait for others. Sometimes people arrive a little late, but they will arrive. Feel free to bring umbrellas, personal fans, spray bottles of water, pop-up tents, whatever you need to be safe. Also, bring a sweater. Wheelchair accessible. There are bathrooms at the Walgreens. If there is rain, we will cancel. Stay for our photo at the end. Cover your face if you do not wish to be identified.
Rise N Shine has partnered with San Gabriel Progressives, San Gabriel Voices and Clean Air Coalition to form The San Gabbriel Valley Coalition of Progressives, who are in solidarity with this event. We also have Support for this event from ABOLISH ICE NOW, HNBC NEWS S.G.V., COVINA BUZZ, SGV Against ICE, and The Avocado Heights Vaqueros. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
