President’s Day: Chalk Pro-Democracy Messages on the Streets

This is a local event on Peninsula, Bay Area. **Important**: Location changes, RSVP so you can be notified!

Our goal is to put simple, public messages on sidewalks, plazas, and high-traffic corners to keep people informed, connected, and aware that they can take part in the work ahead.

We use color chalk and work in groups of 1-2 people. Every outing is a little different: sometimes we’re near libraries and schools, sometimes at busy intersections, sometimes along popular walking paths.

Bring layers, a hat, sunscreen, and water. Something to kneel on can also be helpful. If you’d like, you can bring your own chalk, but we’ll have plenty of chalk and sample messages ready to go. No artistic talent required; short, readable messages are the goal.

📍 **WHERE:** High-visibility sidewalks or plazas on the Peninsula.

👉 **WHAT:** Chalk short, pro-democracy, pro-voter messages where lots of people will see them.

📧 **CONTACT / RSVP:** Sign up through this event page to receive final location and day-of details.

*A core principle behind all our actions is a commitment to nonviolent, peaceful engagement. We expect all participants to de-escalate any potential confrontation and to respond calmly and respectfully to anyone who disagrees with our message.*
