Join the nationwide day of solidarity with Minnesota.
Friday, January 23 is a National Day of Solidarity and push for corporate accountability led by Minnesota organizers and national allies.
Indivisible is committed to nonviolent resistance—but what does that look like beyond marching in the streets? As we work to broaden our approach to pushing back against the violent extremism of the current US administration, we must learn from other movements.
Serbian political activist Srdja Popovic’s book “Blueprint for Revolution” explores various examples of nonviolent resistance from his own experience as an organizer. On February 11th we’ll come together to discuss the tactics he outlines with the goal of organizing our own actions. Anyone is welcome, and while we encourage you to read the book beforehand if you can, it is not a requirement!
We strongly encourage participants to acquire their books from someplace other than Amazon. The local bookshop Squirrel & Acorn is a great option; ebooks are also available through Bookshop.org. If you would like to participate, but find the cost of purchasing a copy to be a financial barrier, please reach out. 🙂
We look forward to hearing your ideas!
