How can businesses resist? By knowing their constitutional rights. We share with them the importance of making a plan, training employees on constitutional rights and creating safe spaces at work and at home. We suggest what employees should or should not do if ICE shows up at the workplace. Canvassing is a demonstration of our solidarity with all of our Denver community and has been received warmly by the businesses visited.
We will meet at 9:00 am for training and to review the canvass material. Orientation and training will take about an hour, after which those who are able will go door-to-door to businesses in Aurora in the vicinity of E. Evans Ave. and S. Havana St. We will canvass in pairs and share important information and materials.
