Good Trouble Lives On – Vigil & Community Gathering

    **Thursday, July 17**
    From 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m

“THE WALL,” Shepherdstown, WV (in front of McMurran Hall)

On July 17, the anniversary of civil rights leader John Lewis, communities nationwide gather for **Good Trouble Lives On**, a weekend of nonviolent action defending civil and human rights and strengthening democracy.

We are coming together in response to escalating attacks on voting rights, civil liberties, and constitutional protections—including voter suppression efforts, restrictions on protest, and recent rulings from the Supreme Court of the United States that raise serious concerns about fair representation and voting access.

This is a **nonviolent candlelight vigil and community gathering** focused on reflection, solidarity, and action. We honor those impacted by injustice, including people harmed in immigration detention and communities facing systemic denial of basic rights and healthcare.

We also recognize this moment as a call to action: to organize, educate, register voters, and ensure every community has access to the ballot.

    **THEME: TEACH! REACH! PREACH!**
Building power through civic engagement, voter education, and participation.

**NO CANDLES — PLEASE DO NOT BRING OPEN FLAMES.**
Battery lights or phone lights are welcome.

Together we affirm: **No silence. No surrender. No kings.**
