Training for Mass Production of ICE Hotline Bracelets

Join Indivisible PDX D3’s ICE Hotline “Bracelet Brigade” kit production training session at Montavilla United Methodist Church on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 pm.

This hands-on training will teach members of organizations like other Indivisible chapters, faith groups, and community groups how to set up a mass-production bracelet-making team of their own. Emphasis is on mass production of bracelets vs. individual bracelet making. Training includes instructions for bracelet-making kit assembly, how-to make the bracelets (the hands-on part!), budgeting (to keep the project going and support other pro-democracy actions in your group), restocking, managing, and lending out the bracelet production kits.

The community defense PIRC hotline bracelets are distributed free to immigrants in the court system, Migra Watchers, legal teams, and groups providing direct assistance to immigrants. The bracelets are also available to allies and advocates throughout the region as thank-you gifts for a small donation. These donations help sustain the program and fund other Indivisible resistance and pro-democracy activities. Our goal is to expand production and distribution of these ICE-resistance bracelets which have proven to be a great way to bring in newly activated activists, show allyship with our at-risk neighbors, and build more awareness in our region of the PIRC hotline and how to use it.
