WA Immigrant Solidarity Network training

WAISN is coming to Port Angeles to provide rapid response training for community members on February 8 from 9:00–11:00am at the Port Angeles Public Library.

WAISN is a network built by immigrants, for immigrants. They believe that everyone, no matter where they came from or what language they speak, deserves to feel safe, respected, and able to thrive.

Rapid response training prepares volunteers to respond safely and effectively when responding to ICE activity in their area. The training covers how to show up safely, how to document appropriately, how to support impacted community members, and how to coordinate within a broader response network.

The session will be led by Alex Fayer, who has been involved in rapid response work since 2017–2018 and helped build and train local teams during the first Trump administration. After years of volunteering, Alex was recently hired by WAISN as the Rapid Response Organizer for Western Washington, where they are working to strengthen, scale, and formalize rapid response capacity across the region.

Come learn how you can support immigrants in our community.
