Leader's Corner

Indivisible group leaders across the country are building something amazing, and we’re here to help you do it. We can support your work organizing your group and coordinating with other Indivisibles; help you amplify what you’re doing for the world to see; and offer resources and support systems for things like fundraising and insurance.

Regional and State-Based Organizers

Have you spoken with the Indivisible organizer for your state yet? Our organizers are amazing—they’re experts on building a strong group with a great leadership team, effective coordination among Indivisibles, and planning impactful campaigns. They’re also great sounding boards for your ideas, and they share feedback and input from group leaders with our national team to help us better support your work.

Training and Support

We offer regular webinars and conference calls to provide training on topics ranging from racial justice to how to plan a local endorsement process. From now until November 6th, we will be holding weekly live webinars. If you miss the live webinar, don’t worry, we’ll upload the video and supplemental materials to this site for your use. You can find recordings of past webinars on our training hub!

Tools to Talk to Voters and Win Elections

The key to winning elections is to talk to voters. We are excited to offer Indivisible group leaders access to the Voter Activation Network (VAN). VAN empowers groups to use lists of voters to contact by phone or at the doors, canvass door-to-door using only your cell phone, keep track of voters’ responses, and show your group’s power and impact with numbers. Contact your organizer to learn more!

Support for Fundraising

Indivisible has a special distributed fundraising program to help unincorporated Indivisible groups raise money to pay for group activities. We offer an ActBlue fundraising page, and will grant 90% of the money your group raises to a debit card you can use to pay for things your groups need. Contact your organizer for more information!

Insurance for Your Local Group Meetings

Many Indivisible groups need general liability insurance for their regular meetings—often because a meeting venue requires proof of insurance. We offer general liability insurance coverage to registered Indivisible groups, free of charge! Contact your organizer for more information.

Proof of Legal Status for Your Local Group Meetings

Some venues also require a “determination letter” indicating that your group is a non-profit. We can share our letter of non-profit status with any registered Indivisible group; all you have to do is show it to the venue and tell them your group is organizing in connection with the Indivisible Project.

This work isn’t easy, and we don’t always get things right. We want to hear from you about how we could be doing more to support your group, or what we could be doing differently. Please reach out to field@indivisible.org with questions, concerns, or suggestions for how we can get better.
