Advancing Our Values

Aug 8, 2020

The Advancing Our Values campaign is a call to action for Indivisible members to rise together.

Overview

In a time of rising injustice and division, the Advancing Our Values campaign is a call to action for Indivisible members to rise together. Rooted in care, solidarity, and resistance, this campaign equips and supports groups to stand up for communities under attack through mutual aid, rapid response, and political education.

We know that showing up in solidarity means doing so effectively, thoughtfully, and without causing harm. That’s why this campaign is about learning and unlearning, listening deeply, and building trust as we take action together.

The Advancing Our Values campaign has three main goals:

  • Protect and support marginalized communities facing harm
  • Build and strengthen Indivisible groups and the progressive movement
  • Cultivate new champions to lead and speak out against authoritarianism

We will achieve our goals by:

  •  Mobilizing Indivisible groups through civic education, training, and the Solidarity in Action Speaker Series.

  • Equipping activists with the resources, infrastructure, and financial support they need to counter oppression and grow collective power—including via the Solidarity in Action Fund.

  • Strengthening our movement by investing in care-based strategies that build deep, local relationships.

What we’re funding

Individual Indivisible groups can apply for grants of $1,000, or up to $2,500 when partnering with another group. These mini-grants are intended to help groups kickstart their mutual aid efforts by organizing and facilitating resource redistribution, addressing urgent local needs, and beginning to build strong community relationships.
