CALL NOW: Stop Trump’s Crypto Corruption

Okay, we’re going to talk about cryptocurrency. We promise, we won’t get too in the weeds here. Because the real problem is not the fine details, but that some Democrats are working with Republicans to pass dangerous crypto legislation that would turbocharge corruption, not prevent it.

This week, the House is voting on the GENIUS Act (S. 1582) and the CLARITY Act (H.R. 3633): two bills dressed up as “crypto regulation” but written to serve the billionaires and bad actors at the center of today’s crypto chaos. These bills don’t protect consumers, don’t close money laundering loopholes, and do nothing to stop the biggest threat of all: Trump’s crypto-fueled bribery machine.

The Trump family has launched multiple cryptocurrencies that they’re already using to accept bribes. Just recently, the UAE used one of Trump’s cryptocurrencies for a $2 billion deal, making Trump millions. Trump is using his other cryptocurrency to run a pay-to-play scheme, where the top investors get to attend a fancy gala at the White House and face time with the President.

As Senator Chris Murphy put it, Trump is effectively posting his “Venmo or CashApp online for every corporate interest and foreign government to funnel money directly into his bank account.” And yet, some Democrats want to pass a crypto-friendly bill that does nothing to rein this in, enabling Trump’s crypto corruption.

We pushed back once and delayed the vote in the Senate. But now, some House Democrats are trying to quietly move these bills forward without making it clear that they’re against it, and  without the guardrails we need to stop fraud, stabilize the markets, or protect our democracy from crypto-backed corruption. That’s unacceptable.

We can stop them if we make enough noise. Call your Democratic Representative now and tell them to stop Trump’s crypto corruption and VOTE NO on the CLARITY Act and the GENIUS Act. We won’t let Congress enable more Trump corruption or gamble away our financial stability just to appease crypto billionaires.
