Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Thank your Progressive Member of Congress

Congratulations! Your Indivisible group has worked hard to turn out voters and elect a progressive Member of Congress (MoC) that will fight for your community. Now, it’s time to thank your MoC for standing up to corporate interests, dark money, and powerful elites determined to further entrench the equities in our country.

While we celebrate this victory, we must also ensure that our representatives have a firm understanding of our collective constituent power, which helped get them elected. They should know that we expect them to join with their colleagues in the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) to negotiate and vote as a bloc, in order to pass bold, inclusive legislation that addresses the intersecting crises our communities are facing. You can read why Indivisible believes a PVB is essential to our goals in the 117th Congress and beyond here.

Your letter will be the first of many conversations with your new MoC’s office. It should communicate your excitement to work with them, but also remind them to wield their newly won power to pursue progressive change. Importantly, this letter lets your MoC know that your Indivisible group will be ready to turn out in a big way to support them when they take a strong stance in pursuit of key legislative victories.

Below is a template letter for you to personalize to your Indivisible group and MoC.

In order to win progressive legislation, members of the CPC must join together to negotiate and vote as a bloc.

<YOUR GROUP NAME> strongly supports <MEMBER NAME> taking a strong stance with the voting bloc, as a strategic execution of power to win key legislative victories. We urge you to commit to wielding the power progressive grassroot activists have been building over the last four years, to demand and win transformational legislation.
