Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

We make calls. We show up. We organize. And we’ve built lasting collective power across the country, in our home towns. We’re Indivisible.

We’re a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

Indivisible’s Statement on the Submission of Articles of Impeachment

January 15, 2020

Washington, DC — Today, Meagan Hatcher-Mays, Indivisible’s Director of Democracy Policy, issued the following statement:

Just moments ago, the House managers delivered the articles of impeachment to the Senate, charging Donald Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. We are on the precipice of one of the most important moments in our democracy -- the impeachment trial that will determine whether or not Donald Trump will be removed from office.

“Indivisibles have been calling for impeachment for years, as Trump's corruption became more and more blatant and as his attempts to undermine our democracy and our national security have escalated.

“The ongoing threat that Trump poses to our country has never been more clear, especially as new evidence has come to light that shows just how far Trump was willing to go to steal the 2020 election -- even sending his henchmen to tail a U.S. ambassador and potentially threaten her with physical harm.

“Enough is enough. The American people deserve an impeachment trial that provides a full airing of the evidence against Donald Trump, the most corrupt and the most dangerous president in United States history.

“But now, with the impending trial in the Senate, Trump thinks that he can get Senators to play a part in his cover-up. While Mitch McConnell and his cronies are trying to rig this process and block new evidence, Indivisibles and other progressive activists have been and will continue to place immense pressure on Senators to support a fair and open trial. And that pressure is making a difference. This will be the most consequential vote in these Senators' careers.

We’ll say it again: a trial without witnesses is a sham. And any Senator who opposes this is a willing co-conspirator in Trump's criminal empire.
