Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together, as Indivisibles.

Indivisibles organize -- which means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.

Washington, DC—While Indivisibles across the country are contacting their senators and demanding they move quickly to eliminate the filibuster, local Indivisibles in the critical states New York and Illinois are flooding the phones and social media of Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Majority Whip Dick Durbin with the message: #BeBold and #EndTheFilibuster Now.

“It’s time for Senator Schumer and Senator Durbin to whip the Democratic caucus to support ending the legislative filibuster,” said Shannon Stagman, co-leader of Empire State Indivisible. “Don’t let McConnell call the shots - meet this moment and deliver help to the people NOW.”

“Welcome new Democratic senators! Now, are you all ready to join Senator Schumer in ending the filibuster?” said New York Indivisible Anuradha Sharma Magee. “If not, talk to your Indivisible groups who helped elect you to get on board.”

“Senator Durbin -- It’s time to whip your caucus into supporting ending the legislative filibuster,” said Betsy Rubin of Indivisible Chicago South-Side. “We’re pushing you to meet this moment with bold legislation that can’t be stopped by the GOP. We won, now act like it!”

ABOUT THE INDIVISIBLE PROJECT

The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
