  • WCI presents Lobbying and Advocacy at the NCGA 101 with John McHugh

John McHugh has been a legislative and policy expert for 25 years. He has had a varied career, having worked for two different North Carolina governors in intergovernmental and policy positions, overseen billions in federal grant funding, and worked in the legal and medical technology sector. He has worked as a liaison between state, local and federal governments providing policy expertise in both local city councils and the White House. He has been a registered lobbyist for a large national non-profit in two states. John has a degree in Political Science from University of Richmond, a JD from the UNC Law, and bleeds Carolina Blue (Go Heels!). He lives in Cary, NC, and shares his home with three dogs, one very demanding cat, and an infinite amount of animal hair.

This is a local Indivisible event!

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
