  • Juneteenth Celebration: Stand for Voting Rights and DEIA!

“Juneteenth is the name for the celebration of the end of slavery in America. It is the anniversary of the news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached enslaved folk in Texas. Indivisible Forest Grove acknowledges this important holiday with a rally to call for NO JIM CROW 2.0: attacks on voting rights of Black folks and other people of color must not stand. And we acknowledge that DEIA education, research, and hiring are how we make sure that we are a true democracy that incorporates the history, talents, and energy of all who call our diverse country home.

Join us with your signs, your friends, and your energy. Some additional signs and chairs will be available.

    This a local Indivisible event!

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
